چکیده
2016 was an important year for the global cancer and NCD community. Against the backdrop of work gearing up to achieve the sustainable development goals (SDGs), 2016 also marked the midpoint between the launch of the World Cancer Declaration targets in 2008 and their delivery in 2025. These targets build towards the Global Action Plan [1] (GAP) 25 by 25 targets and set out the priorities for cancer prevention and control to achieve a 25% mortality reduction in every country.
